To apply to become a Cheyenne police officer, applicants must fill out two different applications.

The Police Department Application must be printed, completed, signed, and submitted to Sgt. DeBall prior to physical assessment. Applications can be hand delivered or mailed to Sgt. DeBall at 415 W. 18 St., Cheyenne, WY, 82001.  See application packet for additional deadlines and information. 

Personal History Statement must be completed (either hand written or typed), printed, signed, and brought to the police department on the day of your oral board.  The Personal History Statement will be turned in to the hiring coordinator after successfully passing the oral board.  Do NOT turn in the Personal History Statement with the application.

Make sure to include all applicable attachments with the application e.g. Copy of High School Diploma, Copy of Birth Certificate

Additionally, attach any documents applicable for preference points e.g. College Degree, DD214, POST training record.
